4-H Shooting Sports Teen Ambassador Program

Two Shooting Sports Ambassadors.

The 4-H Shooting Sports Teen Ambassador Program affords teens the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in citizenship, leadership, community service, and public speaking as they travel serving as advocates and spokespersons for 4-H Shooting Sports at a variety of events and activities. Opportunities at the county and state levels are available. Teens must:

  • Be in 9th–11th grade when applying for the position.
  • Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Be enrolled in 4-H and actively participating in a 4-H Shooting Sports Club for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Be willing to attend the 4-H Shooting Sports Advisory Council meetings when invited.
  • Be available for an in-person interview.
  • Must be present at the Shooting Sports Banquet of the current 4-H year.
  • Attend special programs and activities requested by the NJS4- HSSAC.
  • Give talks about 4-H and Shooting Sports to outside organizations.
