Virtual Fair

4-H Virtual Fair.

This summer is going to look different in many ways. We are all going to miss the sights, sounds, and experiences of the county fair. And while we look forward to the day we can gather again in person at the fair, we will be trying something new this year to showcase the hard work of 4-H’ers across the state. For the very first time, all 4-H’ers will have the opportunity to demonstrate their learning this summer at the statewide NJ 4-H Virtual Fair.

Purpose of the Virtual Fair

The purpose of the Virtual Fair is similar to the purpose of a county fair. The virtual fair gives 4-H youth the opportunity to showcase their 4-H projects and demonstrate what they have learned. The virtual fair is all about learning and fun!

Exhibitors will be awarded virtual ribbons and will receive feedback from judges. Fair ribbons will be mailed to the participants at the conclusion of the Fair. There are no entry fees. Premiums will not be awarded.

Process for Entering Exhibits

Entering exhibits in the Virtual Fair will be different than entering at the county fair. Entries (in the form of photos and/or videos) need to be uploaded to FairEntry. Photos/videos can be uploaded from a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Detailed instructions are available on the Submit Entries page.

The Virtual Fair Exhibitor Guide (PDF) outlines how many pictures and/or videos you will need to upload. Make sure that you show your work in ways outlined in the guide to show the judges the details they need to best judge your work.

What Can I Enter

4-Her's can enter a wide variety of projects! Just like at the regular county fair, you can enter arts & craft, foods, photography and more. Try your hand at a STEM Challenge. Or showcase a community service project you completed.

There are also some just for fun classes like the 4-H Attire class and the Recycled Scarecrow class. Have a pet? Consider entering the Pet Costume Contest or the Trick Dog class. If you are in an animal project, you can demonstrate your showmanship skills or highlight your animal knowledge. The virtual fair has opportunities for everyone to get involved!

Please Note: some divisions/classes are limited to youth in a specific project area; including the animal divisions and shooting sports.

Please review the Virtual Fair Exhibitor Guide (PDF) before entering your exhibits!
