The communication and expressive arts curriculum is an important part of the overall New Jersey 4-H education program. Communication skills are important life skills in the development of any young person.
The Expressive Arts 4-H program provides visual, performing, and media arts to youth grades K-13 throughout the state of NJ. Expressive Arts 4-H also offers training for teachers and youth services staff.

NJ 4-H Photo Corps
The NJ 4-H Photo Corps is a project where 4-H members (grades 4-13) can learn photography from experienced photographers as they take pictures each month. PLEASE NOTE: Photo Corps has been temporarily suspended until further notice.
Poetry X Hunger
Do you want to help eliminate hunger and poverty through the power of your pen? Join in the Poetry X Hunger project! Write poems which inspire your readers to prevent and eradicate hunger and poverty. Poetry submissions are accepted throughout the year.

NJ State 4-H Equine Presentation Contest

The New Jersey 4-H Equine Presentations Project is a project area that is beneficial to the total 4-H Horse Program. By learning to give presentations and demonstrations, 4-H'ers gain self-confidence and speaking abilities that are valuable in life situations such as school, the work place and the community.

Rutgers Day Imagination in Action
April 26, 2025
New Jersey 4-Hers are invited to enter their creative arts for Rutgers Day, on the last Saturday of April. 4-Hers can submit visual, performing or media arts they have created on their own, in their 4-H clubs, or at school. This Is a non-competitive event. 4-Hers can perform for the Rutgers Day audience.
