Program Overview

During the Virtual National 4 H Youth Summit on Agri-Science, high school students will develop the skills and knowledge needed for the challenges facing agriculture, food security, and sustainability.

Program Objectives

Youth will:
· Gain knowledge and skills in agri-science related to the production of food, feed, fuel, and fiber - especially in the rapidly emerging areas of animal and plant sciences and technologies.
· Learn about topics including food science, environmental science, ag literacy and advocacy, ag production, and ag technology.
· Increase awareness of career opportunities and pathways in agriculture.

Friday, March 5, 7:00-9:00 PM
Saturday, March 6, 12:00-6:30 PM
Sunday, March 7, 12:00-4:00 PM

Program Details

High school youth interested in agriculture, environmental science, food science and related topics are invited to participate in virtual Agri-Science National 4-H Youth Summit scheduled for March 5-7, 2021. Applicants must be in grades 9-12 as of September 2020 and be a registered 4-H member.


The cost of the virtual summit is $75 but a scholarship in the amount of approximately $50 will be available to reduce the cost of participating in the summit.

Plan of Action

After the virtual Agri-Science Summit, participants will be asked to share what they learned and some of the activities they did with youth and adults in their county and our state.
