The State 4‑H Egg Preparation Demonstration Contest is a state qualifier event for the National 4‑H Egg & Poultry Contest. This event is open to teen 4‑H members (grades 8 and above and 14 years of age as of January 1, 2016) involved in 4‑H poultry; foods and nutrition; or related project areas. In the contest, contestants must prepare an egg dish; demonstrate presentation skills; and incorporate knowledge of the egg industry, food safety, egg quality, and nutrition.

Based on final score, one individual, 14-18 years of age as of January 1, 2016 will be selected to attend the National 4 H Poultry and Egg Conference scheduled for November 16-17, 2016 in Louisville, Kentucky to complete in the National 4‑H Egg Preparation Demonstration Contest.
