Gerry Leonarski 'Making the Best Better' Memorial Awards
The Gerry Leonarski "Making the Best Better" Memorial Awards are being instituted starting this year specifically for 4-H members enrolled in the NJ 4-H Equine Program. The recipients will be chosen based on their overall accomplishments in the horse program area, demonstrated leadership, community service, and achievements as well-rounded young adults.
Any junior or senior age 4-H'er in NJ who has been a member in good standing for two years in the equine project area may apply for these awards, and the application is attached. The deadline to apply is August 15 and the first award will be given for 2011 4-H year at the NJ State Championship Horse Show during the opening ceremonies.

Mary & Fred Kossatz Awards for Scholarly Achievement in the NJ 4-H Horse Program
This scholarship recognizes a junior and senior 4-H member who have had exemplary accomplishments in multiple 4-H Horse project ctivities.
