NJ State 4-H Double Dutch Contest
Each spring, 4-H members take jumping rope to a new level exhibiting phenomenal artistic and acrobatic skills at the Double Dutch Contest. Double Dutch is a skip rope activity in which two ropes are turned in an eggbeater fashion by two rope turners, while one or two people rhythmically jump between the simultaneously twirling ropes. 4-H Challenge 2009: Walk N.J. Point-to-Point

Food and Fitness Ambassador Training
September 25-27, 2009
Since 2005 county 4-H Food & Fitness Ambassadors have promoted healthy eating and encouraged people to engage in physical activities through displays at county fairs, family fun events and other community gatherings. These things will continue, but the major focus in 2009-10, thanks to a major grant from Wal-Mart will be to encourage each 4-H club in every county to incorporate health, fitness and safety activities into their monthly meetings. All New Jersey 4-H clubs are being encouraged to elect a club health officer to facilitate these activities. [more info...]
